Job Description:
- Collaborate With The Product Manager And Other Key Stakeholders To Gather Technical Requirements And Translate Them Into Highly Maintainable And Testable Code.
- Design And Build Highly Scalable, Performant Backend Services And Continuously Improve The Service Quality Of The System, Striving To Minimize Bugs And Errors That Could Impact The Client Experience Adversely.
- Ensure Timely Delivery Of Solutions And Features While Adhering To The Team's Coding Standards And Industry Best Practices.
- Document Code Comprehensively For The Engineering Team's Reference When Necessary.
- Participate In The Code Review Process And Contribute To Discussions Regarding System Architecture/design, Infrastructure, And Other Relevant Technical Topics Amongst The Engineering Team.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related field
- Have 2-4 years of software development experience, building backend components and applications - preferably using JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful API services and strong understanding of its interactions with the front-end. Familiar working with related web frameworks (i.e. Express, Fastify) as well as testing frameworks (i.e. Jest, Mocha)
- Advanced SQL knowledge, experience working with relational databases (i.e. MySQL, PostgreSQL) and online data stores
- Accustomed to using version-control tools such as Git and proficiency in using the command line
- Self-driven with a high sense of ownership and an eagerness to learn and grow with the company
